Get a visual diagram (process map) of data lineage between business processes and the data catalog. Use the perspective of your company’s data that is important to the user e.g., processes, data assets, business terms, entities, or attributes. This feature is an optional add-on for the Business Glossary and Data Catalog solution.
Get a visualization of traceability that helps you to understand the logic of metric calculation. This diagram, similar to data lineage, presents a tree that looks beyond the relationship of two business terms via a third layer. Included in the Business Glossary and Data Catalog solution.
When signing up for our Accurity SaaS you can now use an account from another online service i.e., Microsoft or Google. This allows you to register for our free trial quickly and without needing to create yet another user account and password to keep track of.
Save time, and the associated cost, of making changes that will need to be applied to many objects at once. Make bulk updates to any number of objects simultaneously including adding or removing tags, turning on and off notifications, deletion.
Allows users to tap into real data from the Data Field level of the Data Catalog and display statistical information (data profile) about them. Use the information gained from this data profile as an inspiration when creating rules for measuring data quality. A functional, easy-to-use business data model (BDM) diagram viewer for business users integrated directly into the base tool, without the need to use any external software. Generate an interactive and fully adjustable visual diagram of a BDM based on a selection of entities made by the user. Included in the Premium or Custom plans of the Business Data Model and Data Catalog solution.
Accurity now allows users to log in to their instances using either a Microsoft or Google account. (On-premises installations can also connect logins directly to a LDAP server.)
Allows users to create synonymous values to business terms without losing the golden truth of the main term. These synonyms are displayed in searches and filters and redirect the user to the main term when selected. This can be particularly useful such as during transitional periods after mergers.
Document how data flows between your data sources. It captures data transformations so that you can get an overview of how data moves between parts of your data catalog. It can help you be compliant with regulatory standards that require data transformation tracking. Available as an optional add-on to the Business Glossary and Data Catalog solution or the Business Data Model and Data Catalog solution.
Use our AI technologies to save time and effort by getting automated suggestions of mappings between Business Terms and Data Catalog, which you can accept or reject based on a probability score. Speed up your work for preparing business data lineage with complete control over which lineage connections get created. Included in the Premium or Custom plans of the Business Data Model and Data Catalog solution.
Customize Accurity based on whatever data governance methodology you use, with additional custom property types for advanced users: date, numerical code, and the relation between any two object types. You can also set a custom property to be mandatory and set default values for newly created objects. Included in specific plans of the Business Glossary and Data Catalog solution or the Business Data Model and Data Catalog solution.
Enables third-party applications in your company IT ecosystem to connect to Accurity and use Accurity as a single point of truth for managing data, and also, via the API, remotely find, read, modify, or delete elements of Accurity. Included in the Premium or Custom plans of the Business Glossary and Data Catalog solution or the Business Data Model and Data Catalog solution.
Tagging gives you the ability to assign any object, of any type, within Accurity a tag. This allows any user to create a fully custom layer of categorization and group data by whatever methodology they wish to use. You can display entire groups of objects regardless of their type in a single view. Objects can be sorted by or searched for using any of these tags.
Process lineage allows you to map business processes and each of their individual process steps onto Data Assets, Entities and Attributes (BDM), and Business Terms. Process lineage is an optional add-on for the Business Glossary and Data Catalog solution or the Business Data Model & Data Catalog solution.
Define hierarchal Data Assets and link data sets to them at the highest level of your Data Catalog. Data Assets can be a system or application output file, database, document, or web page, or whatever you want to recognize as a group of data sets. This enables you to get to know your data via a representation of IT landscapes, systems, databases, applications, etc.
Enables you to capture your initial data requirements and link them to your Business Data Model. This allows you to see how requirements are covered in your IT architecture and how they are incorporated into your BDM. The entire process can easily be tracked in one place. Included in the Professional plan or higher of the Business Glossary and Data Catalog solution or the Business Data Model and Data Catalog solution.
Easily define relation types between business terms using one of six relation types: child/parent of, related to, replaces, calculated from, synonym of, or contains. This enables you to describe how your business terms are related to each other.
Capture information objects of an organization in a structured way. The resulting business data model holistically describes requirements and data in a company’s specific language, by using an Entity-Relationship-Modelling (ERM) based approach. Included in the Professional plan or higher of the Business Data Model and Data Catalog solution.
Create structured Business Rules to bridge relationships between your Data Catalog & Business Glossary and the Data Quality Monitoring solution, by defining data quality rules, top-down, without the need to know the technical specifics of your data sources.
Connect your Oracle, MS SQL, Teradata, PostgreSQL, or Excel databases straight to Business Glossary and create a data structure with its data fields automatically retrieved.
Easily specify reference values for your business terms, including their value descriptions. The related reference values can also be searched via global search.
Collaborate on object definitions with Commenting. Add, update, remove, and track comments and turn on email notifications to be updated about any comment changes.
